2008 February 12, Tuesday, 7:00pm —
Whiting Library, Chester, Vermont (presentation by Donna
Monahan on Atmospherics)
Atmospherics
"Ever look up into the sky knowing that you'll see the "same-ol' -
same-ol'", only to see something that you've NEVER seen before?
Join Donna Monahan, Chester resident and Vice-President of SoVerA
(Southern Vermont Astronomy Group) for a discussion on Atmospherics. You
will never look at the sky in the same way. All you need are your naked
eyes, and a good idea of where and when to look for a host of visual
spectacles. Some can be seen almost every day, and some are
once-in-a-lifetime sights. Find out where and when to see them, and how
they form.
