Phoenix Mars Lander: What It's Finding

The Southern Vermont Astronomy Group will be holding its monthly meeting to discuss the recent landing of the Phoenix Probe on Mars, current celestial happenings, star parties, and other upcoming events. The Public is invited to attend and ask any questions they may have regarding astronomy, telescopes and what to see in the summer months. The meeting will be very casual. All are welcome to bring their questions and see a couple of telescopes, learn how they work, as well do some observing afterwards for a little bit if the sky is cooperative.

All of the above is free and open to the public, and will be held at the monthly SoVerA Meeting, held at the Whiting Library, Lower Level, in Chester, Vermont, at its summer meeting time of 8:00 PM, Tuesday, 10 June. Parking is in back or on the street. The room is handicapped accessible.

The Southern Vermont Astronomy Group (SoVerA) is an organization composed of amateur and professional astronomers, educators, students and members of the lay public. SoVerA is dedicated to making astronomy much more accessible to all. Talks and presentations are free, open to the public, and held at the Whiting Library, lower level, on the second Tuesday of every month.
